Hotels with Best River & City Views in Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City was recently featured in Conde Nast Traveler’s ’25 Best Places to Go in 2025′. This is no surprise since Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon is one of Vietnam’s most dynamic destinations with a blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication.
What better way to gain a visual perspective of this fast-developing, diverse metropolis than from a vantage point of your hotel room. We have hand-picked six hotels that offer river and/or city views that will leave you awestruck.

Hotel Majestic Saigon: Historical Charm
Located across the street from the Saigon River, the iconic Hotel Majestic has been a part of Ho Chi Minh City’s history since 1925. Known for its elegant French colonial architecture and prime location, this hotel offers breathtaking views of the river and the lively street scene in city center.
The hotel has only eight floors which offers a close perspective of the Saigon River and the vibrant street scene. The best rooms with a view are the Deluxe River View and the Majestic Suite River View which offers a fantastic perspective of the Saigon River and the new Thu Thiem development area across the river. A unique experience staying at the Hotel Majestic are the original French colonial interior rooms in the Old Wing. Make sure you state this preference when making a booking if you prefer to stay in the Heritage rooms.
If you didn’t book a room with a river view, you still have access to the views from the Breeze Sky Bar & Restaurant (5th Fl) and the M Bar (8th Fl) on the rooftop. The M Bar is one of best spots for viewing fireworks during major holidays like New Year’s, Tet, April 30th Reunification Day, and September 2 National Day.

Liberty Central Saigon Riverside: Central River View
Further down from the Hotel Majestic on Ton Duc Thang Street is another hotel alternative with river views. The Liberty Central Saigon Riverside is a modern high rise with 25 floors, much higher views than the Hotel Majestic.
This is a mid-range hotel and the rooms are small yet comfortable. Though there may not be anything particularly striking about the room design, the river view rooms do offer an impressive view of the Saigon River with the floor to ceiling windows.
The best view from this hotel is on the 24-25th floor where the Spa, Gym, and Pool are located. The gym has a floor to ceiling window with a panoramic view of the new development area on the other side of the Saigon River which makes for an interesting workout! Take the steps up to the next level and you’ll reach the Pool Bar. It’s not a big pool but has a feature like an infinity pool where you can swim right up to the edge — making for a great photo!

Le Méridien Saigon: Modern Chic
Located within the business district and near Japan Town, Le Méridien Saigon combines modern sophistication with stunning views of Ho Chi Minh City’s skyline and an exciting riverfront.
Le Meridien Saigon is a five-star property with luxurious rooms designed for comfort and style. All rooms feature large windows offering breathtaking vistas of the Saigon River and the city’s skyline. The river view rooms offer an impressive perspective of the Ba Son bridge and activities on the Saigon River. At night, enjoy the electrifying view of the bridge as it lights up against the glittering skyline on the other side of the river. Like all hotels along the Saigon River, you’ll be treated to front row seats for any firework displays during the public holidays.
Public areas where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the Saigon River include the Club Lounge, the Latest Recipe Saigon restaurant, and the semi-outdoor pool.

The Reverie Saigon: Glamour & Opulence
Located in the Times Square building in the heart of Saigon, situated between Dong Khoi and Nguyen Hue Street, The Reverie Saigon is one of the most luxurious hotels in the city with unparalleled views of the Saigon River and the cityscape. The hotel rooms start from the 27th floor and each room category is uniquely designed with custom-made Italian furnishings and luxurious decor.
There are no rooms with a ‘bad view’ since the Reverie is one of the tallest buildings in the area offering uninterrupted views. There are many beautiful rooms to choose from at the Reverie but if I were to choose one solely for the view, I would recommend the Grand Deluxe Room which is a corner room with wrap around floor to ceiling windows offering both a river and city view. There are only two rooms on each floor (starting from the 34th Fl) and most of the time it’s fully-booked so you need to plan very far ahead if you’d like to book this room!
If you book any of their Suite category, you have access to the Lounge on the 38th & 39th floors which also has stunning views all around.
The only downside is the pool and restaurants do not have any views because they are located on the lower level on the 6th floor. And unfortunately, there are no rooftop bars either. But you are compensated with lavish, spacious rooms and service with extraordinary views!

La Vela Saigon Hotel: 360° City View
One of the most talked about hotel with a view is La Vela Saigon Hotel, popular for its infinity pool with an amazing 360° view of the city. La Vela is located on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, a convenient location between Tan Son Nhat Airport and city center.
Situated at the street corner, La Vela has a commanding view of the city even though their highest floor is only on the 26th level. They have rooms with city views from different angles which can range from small to large windows and rooms with or without a balcony. To ensure that you get a room with a good view and big windows, choose a higher-level floor facing West. Beware of rooms that states ‘outdoor view’ which basically means, you get natural light but not a big window or a view.
The highlight of La Vela is their infinity pool and bar located on the rooftop. It offers a jaw dropping view of the city and on a clear day, you may be treated to an amazing sunset view. For non-staying guests, you can purchase a pool pass for $20 or just go the bar and purchase a drink and enjoy the same views.
La Vela is also popular for its dining facilities with local Vietnamese. They have a Chinese restaurant with a dim sum buffet and it’s only $15 for lunch. Their main restaurant has a lunch and dinner seafood buffet. The price is also very reasonable considering it’s all you can eat seafood! The restaurants are on the 25th floor and there’s large windows wrapped all around so you can see views from many vantage points. There’s also an outside seating area which is great in the evening especially with the breeze and expansive views.

Landmark 81 Autograph Collection: Luxury Stay in the Clouds
The Landmark81 is the tallest building in Vietnam and towers above all else in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a mix-used building which means there’s residential apartments, a hotel, and restaurants in this building.
The Landmark 81 Autograph Collection is managed by Marriott International. The hotel rooms start from the 49th to 63rd floor. The reception lobby is on the 48th floor and upon arriving here, you are already treated to an impressive view of the city’s landscape. The Spa, Gym, and Pool are located on the 47th Floor and all these facilities have views.
With rooms starting from the 49th floor, you can be sure that all rooms, regardless of category, will offer amazing vistas of Ho Chi Minh City. Even their lowest category, the Premier Room, has wrapped around floor to ceiling windows. The rooms are quite spacious with modern design and furnishings.
When your room already offers impressive views, you’d think anything else is just ordinary. But surprisingly, the views get better, the higher you go. On the 66th floor is the Oriental Pearl, an all-day dining restaurant, where you have your inclusive buffet breakfast. When you arrive at the restaurant, you’ll immediately noticed the wrap around floor to ceiling windows with views from every angle! There is just so much to see of this city!
The Club Lounge is on the 71st floor which by the way is the highest club lounge in Vietnam! Guests staying in a Club Room or Suite category have exclusive access to this lounge for breakfasts, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails. The views are equally spectacular as the Oriental Pearl restaurant but you get the VIP treatment and comfort in the Lounge.
If you’d like to visit the Landmark81 for the views without staying in the hotel, you can either buy a pass to the observation deck on the 79-81st floor or go to the Blank Sky Lounge on level 75 and 76 for coffee and refreshments. Since this is a popular viewpoint, they recommend you reserve in advance and ask you to purchase a drink before seating. There’s also an outdoor deck which is better for pictures without the glass reflection. Best viewing time is either the morning or evening for sunset views.
Ho Chi Minh City is a dynamic city with a lot to offer, and these hotels provide the perfect vantage point to admire its stunning skyline, bustling streets, and serene riverside views. Whether you prefer the historical charm of Hotel Majestic, the luxury service of the Reverie Saigon, or the fun vibes of La Vela Saigon, there’s something for everyone. Whatever your choice, these hotels promise an unforgettable visual experience of this dynamic city.
